NIDA alumni Mark Hill to guest teach acting workshop at ADPI

Mark Hill is a graduate of NIDA (acting) BFA. Having performed professionally since the age of four, Mark appeared in the touring productions of Faust and The Wizard of Oz.

Whilst attending school in Brisbane, Mark secured lead roles in children’s television series The Wayne Manifesto (ABC) and Cybergirl (Channel 10) and performed live on stage with Michael Jackson in his widely acclaimed History world tour.

Mark was one of Bindi Irwin’s Crocmen, working extensively on stage and screen throughout Australia and the USA. Highlights include The Today Show and Macy’s Thanksgiving Day Parade.

Turning his focus towards musical theatre, Mark performed featured roles in number of shows including Crazy For You, The Boyfriend, Dirty Rotten Scoundrels, The Producers and Eurobeat. He was in the original Australian cast of Mary Poppins, covering the role of Bert, which he performed many times.

Mark played the role of Don in A Chorus Line and was featured in Chitty Chitty Bang Bang covering the role of Goran. Mark also performed in Opera Australia’s renowned production of South Pacific, covering the role of Billis. Mark’s NIDA credits include, The Tempest Antonio, Stranger I Am Crow, Scorched Alphonse Libel, Spring Awakening Melchior Gabor and Another Country Guy Bennett.

Recently Mark made his debut at the Sydney Theatre Company in a staged reading of Hot Tub, the 2017 Patrick White Playwrights Award winning Play. Most recently, Mark was an original cast member of Muriel’s Wedding at the Sydney Theatre Company, playing Bjorn.
